What to expect during an inpatient admission

Our hospital‑based admissions combine structured, evidence‑based programs with round‑the‑clock clinical care.

An admission involves a voluntary stay in hospital - usually for around 2–4 weeks - and includes a mix of individual and group therapy sessions.

Depending on your individual treatment plan, this might include:

  • One-on-one therapy
  • Group therapy and psychoeducation programs
  • Access to a psychiatrist and multidisciplinary treatment team
  • Art and music therapy
  • Group walks and wellbeing activities
  • Access to an onsite gym
  • Coping skills and relapse prevention strategies
  • Peer support in a safe and therapeutic environment

Group therapy sessions are delivered by experienced allied health professionals and focus on helping things settle, building coping skills and supporting a sense of control.

Depending on your needs, your psychiatrist may also recommend other medical treatments during your stay including Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS) or Esketamine Therapy.
