Mental health support for the Queensland community
Group therapy, also known as day programs, enables you to access ongoing support for your mental health or addiction in a welcoming and encouraging community setting.
It’s a safe place for people to share and receive support from caring professionals, alongside other people who may be experiencing something similar to you.
Our day programs are suitable for people with a range of common mental health conditions including anxiety, depression, mood disorders, bipolar disorder, borderline personality disorder, trauma, PTSD as well as addictive behaviours.
New virtual capability at Pine Rivers Private Hospital enables those who are unable to attend the day programs onsite in-person, to access the program by using the secure Zoom platform from home or wherever they may be.
Who can access day programs via telehealth?
You may choose the telehealth or “virtual” option for day programs if you are unable to attend onsite due to:
- Living in an area that is a significant distance from Pine Rivers Private Hospital or limited access to transport prevents you from attending.
- Having dependents where caregiving commitments prevents your attendance onsite.
- Health reasons that reduce your mobility, make it difficult to travel or with face-to-face exposure could be passed on to others.
Which day programs offer telehealth access?
The following day programs are offered both in-person onsite at Pine Rivers Private Hospital as well live-streamed via Zoom:
- Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) Day Program
- Addictive Behaviours Day Program

- Positive Psychology + Day Program
- Schema Therapy for Depression: Rewriting Your Story to available programs in the same section
